For the shallow boreholes (up to 9 meters deep maximally), we bought 5 standard cast iron waterpumps in Belgium. Total costs: €684,86 (including €28,- transportation from Belgium to Amsterdam) plus €60 for transport per sea freight from Amsterdam to Ghana. That is €149,- euro per pump.
