EcoSan Ghana is a non-profit NGO that aims at providing ecological toilets and clean water to rural Ghana, particularly in Atiwa, Fanteakwa, and Upper Denkyira East.

After drilling the boreholes, we need casing pipes and waterpumps for actual water supply. For the shallow boreholes (up to 9 meters deep maximally), we bought 5 standard cast iron waterpumps in Belgium. Total costs: €684,86 (including €28,- transportation from Belgium to Amsterdam) plus €60 for transport per sea freight from Amsterdam to Ghana. That is €149,- euro per pump.
